Transformers 3 Update: Malkovich Joins

After the rather disappointing Revenge of the Fallen, it appears that Michael Bay is seeking to make amends. First, he announces that he is ‘scaling down’ and developing story over mayhem. Now, he has scaled his acting roster up by bringing John Malkovich onboard for the third instalment.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Malkovich has been snapped to play the role of newly appointed National Intelligence Director, Frances McDormand. Still, undoubtedly this is not a ‘plays it straight’ appointment by Bay, more likely Malkovich will add to list of strange egotistical government men from previous outings.

For those who failed to laugh at giant clanging mechanical balls on a Decepticon, or a mom running around on campus high on pot brownies, or…insert any moment here. Well, Ken Jeong, fresh from his scene stealing support role in ‘The Hangover’ has been added to up the comedy stakes.
