X Men Origins: Wolverine did not reach the anticipation awaiting it, fact. Despite dominating the screen in the X Men series, by going solo, Logan’s claws were clipped. But, it did achieve enough to justify a return, and redemption is scheduled for January.
The script handed in by The Usual Suspects scribe Christopher McQuarrie’s sourced inspiration from Frank Miller and Chris Claremont’s Wolverine mini series.
In this incarnation, according to a source from Hollywood 411, Wolverine, now amongst the samurai in Japan, will be a love story, ‘and will be very different than the first film’.
But, with no director yet signed to the project, a January start should be filed under rumour.
