DARK FIELDS AWAIT FOR ROBERT DE NIRO

Casting for new thriller Dark Fields gathers pace; as Illusionist’s Neil Burger adds Robert De Niro to the list.

Adapted from Alan Glyns novel, down-and-out copywriter Eddie Spinola [Bradley Cooper] is tempted by the promise of new drug, MDT -48, a stimulant that instantly increases intelligence and personality; propelling users to successes only dreamt about.

But his perfect world unravels into mounting side effects, murder, and espionage. De Niro, is set to play a genius financial mogul, one of many who aim to track down Spinola.

According to Empire, Elizabeth Banks Is also rumoured to sign on, mostly likely as Spinola’s ex wife, with whom he wishes to reconcile with.

The promising production scripted by Leslie Dixon [The Thomas Crown Affair] begins shooting in May.
